Update of gratefulness

I assume I will have plenty of time in Moscow to document what the past 24 hours has been like for us. The short version is that Justin will be home the afternoon of the 14th and Boston and I are braving Moscow alone. I am grateful for many things. Grateful for Justin’s father’s condition being stable. Grateful for amazing ladies that help us in Russia. Grateful for an unknown Russian-American in Miami that helped with flights until 3:00 a.m. Grateful for other adoptive families at the VMI who lend a helping hand and a delicious banana split to help take my mind off the task at hand. Grateful for a husband who is brave enough to make the right decision even though it was very difficult for him. Grateful for the prayers that are being sent our way.

I wish I had time to email each person that has volunteered to help in some way. B and I leave Vlad at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning and there is still a lot to be done. Thank you for the offers to help with the children, drive to airports, pray, anything we need. Knowing that we have so many people who are willing to help in our time of need makes a very difficult situation manageable.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

The next update will be from Moscow. Hard to say goodbye to a place that has such a special place in our heart but grateful to be one step closer to home!

Heather, It is amazing when people you don't even know jump in with offers to help and even even go the extra mile. I believe it is what Jesus is all about. It's refreshing and encouraging to read about. We will be praying for all of you.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Praying for safety for Justin on his return and for you and Boston on your journey to Moscow, then home. Yes, that goodbye to Vlad and the dear ladies is difficult. Perhaps some of us adoptive families can return their together someday. God bless!

Heather,
You are a very strong, brave lady....you and Boston will do great together in Moscow. Thinking of Justin's father and your family. Can't wait to hear you are safe and sound in Moscow and hopfully get things done quickly there and will be heading home to be back together with your family very soon.

Praying for all of you! Glad it worked out for Justin to get home quickly. You and Boston will have a blast in Moscow. And then you will be on your home to the rest of your wonderful family. Keeping Justin's dad in our prayers as well as your whole family!

I have been praying since your last post! And, now more specifically! I am sure this is all so overwhelming (like being in another country, and with your new child isn't big enough as it is!). Hang in there! You'll be home before you know it! :)
