Before the Morning

Worship music has become very important in my life. I turn to so many songs in the high and low parts of life. There are songs that help me celebrate, songs that help me share my admiration for the Father, and songs that help me get through heartache. Unfortunately last week has been full of unimaginable heartache. On top of that, the silence from Russia is maddening. This is a song that I am trying to pull strength from today…

Before the Morning
By: Josh Wilson

Do you wonder why you have to
Feel the things that hurt you
If there’s a God who loves you where is He now

Someday somehow you’ll see you’ll see

Would you dare would you dare to believe
That you still have a reason to sing
Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling
It can’t compare to the joy that’s coming

So hold on you gotta wait for the light
Press on and just fight the good fight
Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling
It’s just the dark before the morning

My friend you know how this all ends
You know where you’re going
You just don’t know how you’ll get there
So say a prayer

And hold on cause there’s good for those who love God
But life is not a snapshot
It might take a little time but you’ll see the bigger picture

Once you feel the weight of glory
All your pain will fade to memory

It’s just the hurt before the healing
Oh the pain that you’ve been feeling
It’s just the dark before the morning

I pray the morning of your court date news comes quickly. The words to this song are so SO true! ...I'm sure you think back to Blake's history with those words, and the same goes for this little guy you are waiting to bring home. The joy that's coming...he will soon get to feel the love of his moommy and daddy everyday! Keep pressing on! Dawn is coming! ...even though it never feels like it.

this is so awesome-- my husband and I are in the beginning stages of adopting 2 children from Vladivostok, Russia and I have been loving this song, too!!

Keep the faith! The wait is hard, but God's timing is PERFECT.

Praying God's perfect timing for you and yours...
